Light, creativity and Nordic life all come together with LUMINO, Montreal’s essential winter event. Discover participative, contemplative and luminous works both indoors and out. Succumb to the charms of an evolving and stunning program that warms up cold winter nights in the Quartier des Spectacles and the downtown core.
This year, the Complexe Desjardins is taking part in this luminous program by hosting an artwork called Vortex. This artwork is suspended above the fountain and is connected to it to offer a fountain show with water jets and lights to awake your senses.
From January 11 to March 9, let water transport you to another world.
Enjoy a special visual and sensory experience with this luminous aerial installation inspired by the architecture of Complexe Desjardins. The work comprises luminous octagons arranged on top of one another, appearing to float gently over the indoor fountain. By taking
in this immersive installation, which generates a constantly evolving atmosphere, you will be transported to a dreamworld.
Fountain show schedule: January 11 to March 9 from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., every hour
Please note that the fountain show won’t be activated during the hours of the following days:
- February 12: no show for the day
- March 1st: 9 p.m.
- March 2: 12 p.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
- March 3 to 8 : 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
- March 9: 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
The artwork is designed and created by Nicolas Paolozzi, produced by Module and distributed by Scenitz. The artwork is presented by the Quartier des Spectacles Partnership and Complexe Desjardins.
