Since January 9, the Complexe Desjardins has been exhibiting Vortex, a meditative, luminous art installation. If you haven’t had a chance to see it yet, we have some good news: You have until June 16, 2025! Come to the Complexe to admire this work of art. Suspended above the fountain as well as connected to it, Vortex offers your senses a spectacular display of water and light.

Enjoy a sensory experience with this dazzling, seemingly airborne installation that emulates the architecture of the Complexe Desjardins. Composed of a series of luminous octagons arranged on top of one another, Vortex appears to delicately hover above the indoor fountain. As you allow yourself to become immersed in this mesmerizing, ever-changing spectacle, you’re bound to drift into an enchanted dreamworld.

Fountain and light showtimes: From 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., every hour, on the hour, until June 16, 2025.

Note that there won’t be any fountain and light displays at the following times*:

April 22 : 12 p.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m.
June 12 and 13: 12 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m., 7 p.m., 8 p.m., 9 p.m.
June 14: 12 p.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m.

This artwork was originally created as part of the Lumino programme, an initiative of the Partenariat du Quartier des spectacles. Nicolas Paolozzi designed and created the installation. It was produced by Module and distributed by Scenitz. Complexe Desjardins is presenting Vortex in partnership with the Quartier des spectacles.
