Celebrate Earth Day

On April 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Complexe Desjardins will be hosting the Programme Récüp’s Earth Day pop-up at la Grande-Place.

This event brings together industry partners who will be running interactive booths focusing on reducing, reusing and recycling. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions about recycling and learn about sustainability from the experts in attendance.

There will also be a collection for used items that can be recycled or repurposed. You may even be able to have one of your small appliances and electronics repaired on-site*. It’s good for the environment, and your wallet!

Volunteers will be happy to show you how to repair some of your devices. They aren’t necessarily professionals, though they will have the support of Insertech and Repair Café technicians.

A Réparothon is an event, organized by the community, to learn how to repair things. Participating means being responsible for your own device.

By participating, you agree to the following conditions:

You must back up your data before bringing your device.

If there’s software or apps you have purchased on your device, bring your licence numbers and passwords, along with the software itself, in case you need to reinstall one of them.

Only one device is allowed per person.

It may not always be possible to solve the problem.

You must bring your charger or power cord.

We don’t have replacement parts or screens for phones or tablets.

If you want to replace a part, you’ll need to buy it ahead of time and bring it with you.

The number of spaces is limited, and registering beforehand will not guarantee you an appointment.

You authorize us to take pictures of you during the event and to use them for our communications.
